Overview Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Frisco location. This full‑time, Monday–Friday position (8:30 am–5:00 pm) provides nursing care without weekend, on‑call or major holiday shifts. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care in accordance with established standards. Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history. Assess patient and family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials. Provide psychosocial support to patients and families. Facilitate clinical operations and patient care. Manage medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart. Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments. Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart. Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team, coordinating services related to patient care. Assist patients in locating available community resources. Collaborate interprofessionally. Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants. Qualifications Education / Training Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred). Current RN state license and registration with the state board of nursing in the practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Maintain continuing education requirements. Level I Entry level: 0‑3 years nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred. Level II Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred. Level Senior Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology. Oncology certification preferred.
