Lead Diesel Mechanic

Duties & Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including steering, electrical, cooling, braking, and drivetrain, ensuring compliance with regulations.Conduct test drives to verify repairs and ensure vehicle safety and performance.Obtain necessary inspections and approvals for major repairs before releasing vehicles.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in adherence to safety standards.Identify and report additional maintenance needs during repairs to ensure fleet reliability.Accurately document repair details, including time spent and parts used, for each job.Respond to road calls to perform on-site repairs as needed.Collaborate with and lead fellow technicians, addressing feedback and ensuring safe maintenance practices.Requirements:5+ years of experience in Medium/Heavy truck repair, including diagnostics and electrical systems.In-depth knowledge of diesel equipment and AC repair.Valid state driver’s license required CDL preferred. Training available for those who need to obtain a CDL after hire.ASE Certification preferred but not required.
