3D Animator / CGI Artist

Role Overview

Apply 3D animation and CGI/VFX expertise to annotate video data that helps train next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role focuses on realistic character movement, rigging, and animation details in 3D environments. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and annotate high-quality 3D character animations for AI training datasets using Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D.
• Use rigging and character-movement techniques to represent motion and behavior accurately in 3D models.
• Analyze and annotate video data to improve AI understanding of animation and CGI elements.
• Document nuanced animation features using CGI/VFX knowledge.
• Work with project coordinators to clarify annotation guidelines and align deliverables with customer needs.
• Maintain consistent, accurate, visually high-quality submissions.
• Provide constructive feedback to refine annotation methods and processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D animation with Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D.
• Strong understanding of rigging, skinning, and character-movement workflows.
• Experience with CGI/VFX pipelines and video data annotation or asset-review best practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail, including the ability to identify and describe subtle differences in movement and visual style.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate remotely.
• Entry-level or mid-level experience in 3D animation, CGI, or a related field. Senior-level expertise is not required.
• Interest in contributing high-quality creative work to AI development.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $15 to $80 per hour.
