Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from all age groups-including pediatric, adult, and geriatric-employing standardized assessments and personal observations.
• Create tailored treatment plans that target both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on various facets of communication including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and families to design comprehensive care strategies.
• Empower patients and their families with education, ensuring progress continues beyond the therapy room.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, contributing to seamless patient care throughout their recovery journeys.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Pursue ongoing education and stay informed of the latest trends and practices in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of hire.
