At Apogee Research we work hard, we get things done, and we do it together.We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Subcontractor & Procurement Specialist to join our Business Operations team. This role will report to the Director of Contracts with interactions with the CFO and President/CEO as well as with other business leaders. It is ideal for a high-energy individual with strong interpersonal skills, extraordinary drive and attention to detail and accuracy. The responsibilities and seniority of the position can be scoped to meet the capabilities of the right candidate.The position is based out of our Arlington, VA, office (full-time in person).Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand business strategy and risk tolerancesManage end-to-end procure-to-pay for vendors and subcontractors: competitive sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, documentation of rationale for source selections, contract/subcontract issuance, and receipt/acceptance coordination.Draft Non-Disclosure Agreements, Requests for Proposal/Requests for Quotes (RFP/RFQ), teaming agreements, subcontracts, and commercial agreements in accordance with applicable RFP/RFQ, prime contract flow downs, business strategy, and applicable policies and procedures (e.g., CMMC, security).Lead negotiations with potential business partners based on coordinated business strategy and company risk tolerances.Responsible for subcontract management, compliance, and close outManage vendor and subcontractor performance metrics.Perform market research, supplier risk analysis, and recommend continuous improvements to procurement strategies, reporting, and operational efficiency.Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, assessing and managing vendor and subcontractor risks and providing solution-oriented strategic adviceQualified candidates should have:5-10 years' relevant experience in procurement, subcontract administration, and/or contract managementProficient in negotiating contracts subject to federal government regulations to include the FAR and DFARsAbility to multitask and set priorities in a deadline-oriented, highly matrixed environment across several projects and teamsExperience working with suppliersStrongly Preferred:TS clearanceAbout Apogee ResearchApogee Research offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, FSAs, paid vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays.
