About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Active VA / Compact License required upon start Certifications: ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (expires), BLS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Description: Prior travel experience is required for all positions. Charge responsibility is required, and the RN will receive the appropriate pay differential and training. Work history must explain all gaps in work history over 90 days. Unit population includes a mix of medical-surgical, tele, cardiac patients with intermediate care unit acuity levels, neuro patients, and CVA patients. The unit tries to follow 2-3 weekends a month but cannot always do this based on unit needs. IVs will be offered with limited requests for time off. Client can cancel up to 36 hours before the assignment due to census. Cerner experience preferred. This is a teaching hospital, and team members are expected to contribute to a culture of support, particularly when interacting with students and new hires. Float required: No.
