Job Title: Graduate Assistant for Divisional Budget and Finance Support (Beg Fall 2026) Location: UWG Recruiting Location Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time: Part-Time Job ID: 297325 Job Summary Key responsibilities for this role include the following: Financial Reporting (35%) Generating and updating financial reports. Preparing spreadsheets for tracking expenditures and revenue. Assisting with month-end or quarter-end financial reporting. Expense Reconciliation (20%) Reviewing and reconciling financial statements. Ensuring that all expenses are accounted for. Identifying discrepancies in financial data. Accounts Payable/Receivable (15%) Assisting with processing invoices and payments. Helping track outstanding receivables and follow up with vendors or departments. Budget Preparation and Analysis (10%) Assisting in preparing and reviewing budgets for 5-year plans. Helping with budget forecasting and projections. Meeting and Communication (10%) Participating in meetings with department heads to discuss budget status. Communicating with other departments regarding financial matters. Miscellaneous Tasks (10%) Supporting other budget/finance-related tasks as needed. Required Qualifications Students admitted provisionally to a program are not eligible for an assistantship. Earned a Bachelor's degree. Have applied for and been accepted to a graduate degree program of study at UWG. Be enrolled as a full‑time student in a graduate program of study. Have maintained a 3.0 GPA in previous and current graduate coursework. Meet the requirements to be eligible for employment in the US. Preferred Qualifications Enrolled in Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) Licensed driver Proposed Salary A monthly stipend of $1000.00 per month A tuition waiver, reducing your graduate tuition to $25 per semester plus mandatory fees as long as you are employed in your assistantship. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Sedentary work in a standard office environment, requiring prolonged sitting, close vision, and manual dexterity for tasks like data entry and using office equipment.
