Clinical Nurse Coordinator Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Dickson, TN

Job Type: Full-Time Nights (Rotating Weekends, Every Other Weekend)

Compensation: $30 $46/hr (based on experience)

Shift Differentials: $3.50/hr Nights | $6.00/hr Weekends

Position Summary:

A well-established healthcare facility in Middle Tennessee is actively seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to lead and support its Labor & Delivery unit on the night shift. This is a leadership role ideal for an experienced L&D RN with a hands-on approach, ready to serve as charge nurse and assistant nurse manager. The CNC plays a vital part in care coordination, staff support, and ensuring efficient patient throughput while maintaining clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct, evaluate, and monitor nursing care during assigned shifts
• Support staff during admissions and discharges to ensure efficient workflow
• Serve as a resource and clinical lead during labor, delivery, and surgical procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to improve patient outcomes and experience
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and operational needs overnight
• Ensure proper supply management and inventory control

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Active RN license (Tennessee or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Prior leadership experience in L&D, NICU, Women's Health, or Mother-Baby required
• Must be comfortable independently managing the unit overnight, including delivering babies and scrubbing in the OR
• BLS required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS required within 1 year of hire
