Dietary Cook
At West Melbourne Health & Rehabilitation Center, our team plays an important role in providing a positive dining experience for our residents each day. We're looking for a reliable and compassionate Dietary Cook who takes pride in preparing quality meals and helping create a welcoming environment for our residents.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve meals according to approved menus and dietary guidelines
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure meals are prepared in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with kitchen cleaning and daily sanitation duties
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work closely with the Dietary Manager and dietary team to provide excellent service
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience preferred, especially in healthcare, hospitality, or high-volume food service
- Ability to prepare meals safely and efficiently
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- Compassion and respect for elderly and disabled individuals
