Associate Licensed Therapist

This position is a good fit for a clinician who enjoys working with children and teens and is still developing clarity around clinical interests and strengths. Associate Therapists at Indy Child Therapist work with a variety of ages and presenting concerns, allowing for broad experience while building confidence and skill. This role includes consistent supervision toward licensure, ongoing training, and is designed for clinicians who want to grow into strong, competent pediatric therapists. Preference is given to associates who are interested in remaining with the practice after licensure and continuing to develop within our team. Overview If you can say YES to these, we would love to talk: You hold a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy You hold an active associate license in Indiana (LSW, LMFT-A, or LMHC-A) You are available at least 30 hours per week, including afternoon, evening, and weekend hours You believe evidence-based care and clinical excellence are essential You want to work in a collaborative, supportive team environment You demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism You want to be invested in both your own growth and the success of the practice You have prior experience in a clinical setting working with child clients (required) This is NOT the position for you if you: Are looking for your first-ever clinical role and do not yet have direct client experience Prefer to work only with adults or are unsure about working primarily with children and teens Are uncomfortable receiving feedback or engaging in regular supervision Prefer to work independently without collaboration or team involvement Are not available for afternoon, evening, or weekend hours Prefer minimal structure or struggle with follow-through and accountability Are not interested in continued learning, growth, and skill development Are seeking a short-term position rather than building toward licensure and longer-term development Job Description The outpatient therapist will provide excellent and effective mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations and/or mental health concerns. Therapist will need to be well organized, timely and able to juggle the multiple demands of an outpatient practice without daily supervision. This is a W2 position and a two year commitment is requested. Education & Experience Requirements A Master’s degree or above in a mental health-related field such as social work, marriage and family, mental health counseling, etc Active unrestricted Indiana provisionally licensed clinician in good standing. A copy of the license must be provided. Experience in a clinical setting such as community mental health, residential, outpatient therapy, or school based therapy. You must have carried a caseload and provided individual therapy to children and teens. Advanced training in at least one evidenced based therapy modality strongly preferred. Required Knowledge and Skills Self directed, motivated, hard working, and reliable Passionate about working with children and their families Skilled in applying best practice theory and technique in counseling sessions Excellent at building rapport with clients Ability to receive and implement feedback immediately Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to proficiently navigate electronic systems such as computers, tablets, email, word processing, and electronic medical record systems Collaborative in nature Commitment to evidenced based and excellent client care Like to have fun Perpetuate a collegial and family like environment Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all you do Want someplace you can be invested in the success of the practice as well as yourself Major Areas of Responsibilities Provide on-site excellent, effective, compassionate, and ethical psychotherapy services to the clients of Indy Child Therapist, LLC as scheduled in accordance with company policy. Utilize evidenced based treatments as primary clinical tool Arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before your first scheduled appointment and start/end sessions in a timely manner. Complete all written documentation for client records within 2 calendar days after date of service (recommended to be completed daily). This includes but is not limited to intakes, session notes, treatment plans, coding, and billing Engage with other team members, clients, parents, vendors, and outside referrals in a way that helps foster positive relationships. Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, text, or by email. Maintain up-to-date and accurate calendars and client records within electronic health record (EHR). Maintain proper licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding or applicable to the services performed for Indy Child Therapist, LLC. Stay current with updated research and best practices and complete all required continuing education requirements for licensure. Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary or requested. Attend mandatory supervision, meetings, and/or trainings as directed by Indy Child Therapist, LLC. Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Indy Child Therapist, LLC. Be respectful to, cooperate, and collaborate with all co-workers. Communicate with other health care and education professionals regularly and as requested or necessary for excellent clinical client care. When requested, charging and collecting payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Indy Child Therapist, LLC. Perform other duties as assigned by Indy Child Therapist, LLC. Abiding by the Company Policy and Procedures Manual as updated by Company. Hours Schedule is flexible We offer 2 employment status options for associate licensed staff and does NOT include a part time option Weekly Team Meetings Lunch & Learns Weekly Supervision towards licensure Pay Pay is commissioned based.
