Scope of Project

\n

DSS has a constant increased need for the provision of full systems life cycle applications development on various computer platforms, including a variety of client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, claims systems, etc., that are critical to the operation and functioning of DSS programs, requiring periodic refinements to maintain the applications at optimum service levels. Having a project portfolio which properly reflects the user’s business needs and DSS’ workload is crucial. Therefore, there is a need for IT consulting resources for the expanding responsibilities at DSS.

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

Oversee, plan, manage, and coordinate complex IT projects from initiation to completion.

\n

Define project scope, create and update project plans and work breakdown structures, and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones.

\n

Identify and manage IT project risks, determine resource requirements, and obtain signoff on project deliverables using Microsoft cloud solutions.

\n

Provide day-to-day oversight and leadership of various project teams, including teams working on SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Azure DevOps, and consultants.

\n

Coordinate, track, and report on project tasks and activities, including configuration, management, and maintenance of collaboration and DevOps technologies.

\n

Report project progress to management, stakeholders, and relevant teams.

\n

Lead teams responsible for delivering collaboration and automation solutions.

\n

Serve as a cloud collaboration and automation expert on Microsoft 365/O365 and Azure technologies from project initiation through completion.

\n

Advise project teams on cloud collaboration and automation solutions to support speed to market, return on investment, and delivery of business value.

\n

Drive improvement initiatives related to infrastructure and software deployment automation.

\n

Apply creative provisioning techniques, implementation methodologies, and deployment methodologies to improve infrastructure and software deployment processes.

\n

Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, ShareGate, and PowerShell to support automation and deployment initiatives.

\n

Research and identify emerging technologies impacting cloud-based PaaS and SaaS solutions.

\n

Evaluate cloud technologies and solutions to ensure the Agency follows industry best practices.

\n

Support initiatives related to cloud security, usability, and technology improvements.

\n

Liaise with business leaders, IT technical teams, consultants, and vendors to fulfill department goals and objectives.

\n

\n

Required Skills:

\n

A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:

\n

Managing and administrating enterprise-level O365 SharePoint; troubleshooting issues and providing customer support for service requests related to O365 SharePoint Online and on-premises environments; migrating site collections using Sharegate; supporting One Drive and Teams for business; working with Active Directory, PowerShell, eDiscovery site collections.

\n

Understanding current and emerging infrastructure technologies and practices and how other organizations are employing them and the ability to identify and act on opportunities for continuous improvement.

\n

Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, SharePoint Online and Office 365.

\n

Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.

\n

Working with Active Directory, PowerShell, eDiscovery site collections

\n

Supporting One Drive for business

\n

Possesses ability to think creatively to devise customizations and uses for SharePoint.

\n
