Environmental Service Technician - Hospital Setting
Join our dedicated healthcare team as an Environmental Service Technician, where your efforts directly contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable professional committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control in a fast-paced hospital setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, operating rooms, corridors, restrooms, and other hospital areas according to established protocols
- Ensure all surfaces, equipment, and fixtures are sanitized to prevent the spread of infections
- Properly handle and dispose of waste, including biohazard materials, in compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or shortages
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times
- Assist with special cleaning projects and terminal cleaning as needed
- Document cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisory staff

Requirements:Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in environmental services, custodial work, or healthcare cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safety standards in a healthcare environment
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
$18 - $20 per hour
