Candidates at various career stagesfrom early-career professionals to experienced practitionersare encouraged to apply.Core ResponsibilitiesSecurity Operations and Monitoring (40%)Monitor security alerts, investigate anomalous activity, and administer endpoint protection, MFA, VPN, and email security tools. Escalate complex issues to senior team members as appropriate.Compliance and Documentation (30%)Support audit-readiness initiatives aligned with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, and ITAR requirements. Maintain comprehensive documentation to support compliance objectives and internal security projects.User Support and Security Awareness (20%)Assist with phishing response and security awareness campaigns. Provide end-user guidance on secure practices and serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries.Incident Response Support (10%)Support incident triage, evidence collection, and documentation. Assist with post-incident follow-up and lessons-learned activities under the guidance of senior cybersecurity personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and investigate security alerts, escalating threats as necessary.Administer and support core security tools including endpoint protection, MFA, VPN, and email filtering.Support phishing investigations and contribute to user security awareness initiatives.Contribute to compliance and audit-readiness efforts for CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, ITAR, and CUI protection.Maintain accurate, accessible documentation for security processes and compliance records.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, engineering, and operations to improve security posture.Handle sensitive information with discretion and professional judgment.QualificationsExperience and SkillsExperience in cybersecurity, systems administration, network administration, IT support, or a related technical role.Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, common threats, security controls, and incident response concepts.Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows environments, endpoint protection, and enterprise IT operations.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document work clearly and collaborate across teams.Interest in developing expertise in security operations and compliance within a regulated defense or aerospace environment.EducationAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Relevant Knowledge AreasCandidates with exposure to any of the following areas are encouraged to apply.
