Under the direction of the therapist (PT OT SLP) or assistant (PTA OTA) only assists the therapist with therapeutic interventions. The Therapy Services Technician does not provide patient care. Works cooperatively with others as part of a team recognizes the importance of group goals. Performs designated nonclinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient. Assists with the transportation of patients to and from scheduled therapy appointments as well as other assigned duties. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.

In this role youll work alongside Physical Therapists Occupational Therapists Speech-Language Pathologists and Therapy Assistants helping ensure patients receive the support they need throughout their therapy journey. Youll assist with patient transportation maintain therapy spaces support daily department operations and contribute to a positive compassionate experience for every patient.

What Youll Do:

• Assist therapists and therapy assistants with non-clinical support activities
• Transport patients safely to and from therapy appointments
• Prepare and maintain therapy treatment areas and equipment
• Support the therapy team with essential departmental tasks
• Foster a welcoming and positive environment for patients and families

Qualifications:

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience

• Previous patient care experience preferred
• Healthcare customer service or related experience is a plus

Certifications

• Current CPR certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Team-oriented mindset with a passion for helping others
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations
