This role requires a self-directed, proactive approach to management, ensuring that all aspects of the hotel run smoothly and efficiently. Emphasis is placed on delivering outstanding guest service, fostering employee engagement, and achieving strong bottom-line results. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to maintaining high standards of hospitality and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesAdhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook. Maintain all hotel and brand standards by direct supervision of the various hotel departments.Varied work hours required, including weekends and holidaysTrain, mentor, motivate, and empower employees to improve morale and performance.Assist the General Manager in resolving guest complaintsProvide regular performance feedback to employees through both formal appraisals and informal methods.Address employee performance or conduct issues in a fair, consistent, and professional manner.Develop strategies to improve the business and team performanceAssist the General Manager with any project assignedMeet with all department heads/managers to ensure departments run smoothly and efficientlyEssential Skills and ExperienceMarriott experience requiredPrevious hotel supervisory experience.Ability to communicate clearly and respond promptly.Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.Ability to handle any emergency.The qualifications listed above are intended to represent the minimum skills and experience levels associated with performing the duties and responsibilities contained in this job description.
