MRI Tech / MRI Technologist – Radiology / Cardiology Location: Springfield, IL Schedule: Day shift, 3x12s, 11:00 AM–11:30 PM Pay: $68/hour We are hiring an experienced MRI Tech for a hospital-based Radiology / Cardiology imaging role in Springfield, Illinois. This MRI Technologist position is ideal for someone with strong MRI scanning experience, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting. If you have experience with diagnostic imaging, MRI procedures, radiology workflow, and supporting high-volume hospital departments including radiology and cardiology , this is a strong opportunity with competitive pay and consistent hours. Responsibilities Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and imaging protocols Support diagnostic imaging needs within the Radiology / Cardiology environment Prepare, screen, and position patients safely for MRI procedures Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout imaging exams Operate MRI equipment and maintain high image quality standards Accurately document imaging procedures and patient information in Cerner Communicate with radiologists, cardiology staff, nurses, and other clinical team members Follow hospital, MRI safety, infection control, and department procedures Participate in on-call coverage and float as needed Qualifications Experience as an MRI Tech , MRI Technologist , or Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist MRI certification required Strong background in MRI, diagnostic imaging, radiology, and hospital-based patient care Experience working in an acute care, hospital, radiology, or cardiology setting preferred Ability to work day shift hours: 11:00 AM–11:30 PM Comfortable with on-call and floating requirements Experience with Cerner or similar EMR/documentation systems preferred Strong attention to detail, patient safety focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions may be considered If you are a skilled MRI Tech looking for a day shift MRI Technologist opportunity in a Radiology / Cardiology setting, apply today. *aa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
