Why You Matter: As a Mechanical Technician at Lantech, you will be a member of a team that assembles the most complex assemblies on our machines. Our experienced and skilled technicians are given a wide array of challenging assemblies custom‑made for our customers' wrapping applications. Here’s a Glimpse at What you'll Do: As a Mechanical Technician at Lantech, you will: Assemble mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components for the production of complex modules/machines. Read mechanical blueprints, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics. Install electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components to the required specifications. Physical requirements include standing for 9.5 hours each day, lifting up to 50 lbs, and climbing a ladder. What are We Looking For? (Requirements) We are looking for someone who: Is able to read, follow instructions, and communicate in English Is flexible to support other production areas as needed. Is flexible and accepting of a fluctuating complex/module production schedule. Is able to climb a ladder. Is a self‑motivated and self‑driven individual with a strong work ethic. Has a sustained record of good attendance. Is detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and the ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced environment. Has the ability to stay focused and on task Has a high aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature, effective use of time, and is capable of adapting to a varied work environment. Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co‑workers. Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Is able to pass a pre‑employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check. Is willing and able to work overtime to complete projects and/or meet scheduling deadlines. Is customer focused with a strong commitment to quality and production schedule. Is legally authorized to work in the U.S. Education & Experience: Mechanical aptitude and previous experience are required A minimum of 3 years of mechanical experience is required. Prior experience with machining and welding is a plus. High School diploma or equivalent. Additional training from vocational or trade school is a plus.
