Senior Tax Accountant

Henjes, Conner & Williams, PC is seeking an experienced senior tax accountant to work in our Dakota Dunes, SD office. Our ideal candidate would possess five or more years of experience in public accounting or similar environment. This key professional position is open immediately and offers an excellent opportunity for leadership and career advancement for the right candidate. Responsibilities include reviewing individual and business income tax returns and training staff, performing income, estate, gift, sales and payroll tax research, preparation of complex individual, business, and fiduciary income tax returns, preparing tax projections and related planning documents, responding to governmental correspondence, and various projects as assigned to assist partners and management staff in helping our clients achieve their financial goals.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting, masters in taxation, or law degree, CPA or CPA candidate preferred, two or more years experience in public accounting or similar environment, ability to research and apply tax code to complex business situations, knowledge of professional audit and accounting standards, passion for excellence and professional growth, outstanding attention to detail, high moral and ethical standards, takes ownership and pride in their work, highly motivated self-starter, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience with CCH Axcess software applications a plus.
