You will serve as the senior squad member on the shift, ensuring that the team performs all essential tasks, provides outstanding guest experiences, and contributes to smooth restaurant operations. Your role is to model, teach, and demonstrate MOD’s purpose in every interaction, setting the squad up for success for the shift and during training. Key Responsibilities Ensure the right squad member is in the right place and doing the right work, completing Deployment Charts and adjusting throughout the day. Train newly hired/promoted squad members and support the team through new program rollouts and initiatives. Maintain operating systems and equipment to meet restaurant goals, including online ordering, catering, fundraising, and customer review systems. Use and reference MOD tools and standards to ensure the food is safe in both Back of House and Front of House. Resolve squad member and guest concerns, escalating issues that require resolution to the Associate Manager or General Manager as appropriate. Manage cash within the shift accurately, including making change, accessing the safe, and processing refunds. Take inventory and place orders as needed and supported by the GM. Adhere to all Opening, Midday, and Closing shift checklists and use all available tools to execute requirements timely. Review email regularly to stay updated on and communicate information from Slice (and other relevant sources) for squad members to be effective during the shift. Required Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of customer service or restaurant experience. Demonstrated success as a mentor, trainer, or informal leader. Proven ability to prioritize and make decisions. Must be at least 18 years old. Proven success in following and enforcing processes and standards; correcting and coaching in a compassionate manner. Ability to be a calming presence in periods of high volume. Must obtain a food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date or sooner where required by law. Proficient in written and oral communication. Ability to support restaurant hours, working a minimum of 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak demand hours as determined by the General Manager or District Manager.
