As a Coordinate Measuring Specialist, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the highest standards in our inspection processes. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like: Your Role Includes: Conducting meticulous inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) alongside manual measuring techniques according to acceptance guidelines. Collaborating with operations and external partners to manage calibration needs, ensuring timely servicing and return of critical instruments and equipment. Programming and refining automated inspection systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy. Deciphering complex blueprints and drawings, and interpreting advanced inspection results with accuracy. Recording inspection outcomes, generating detailed non-conformance reports, and initiating immediate corrective measures when necessary. Crafting detailed visual work instructions and delivering training sessions for operators on advanced inspection tools. Maintaining organization and efficiency through routine 5S+ activities in your workspace. Engaging in continuous education, facilitating training modules, maintaining necessary certifications, and supporting additional quality-focused tasks. Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent certification. At least one year of experience in the field of inspection. Proven proficiency with at least two years in CMM programming, with experience in aerospace industries preferred. Existing CMM certification to validate your expertise. Skills You Bring: Exceptional capability in designing and troubleshooting programs for automated systems. Advanced proficiency in Mitutoyo and MCOSMOS scanning and programming from solid models. Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and utilize a variety of measurement tools. Proficiency with MFGPro for systematic part processing and WISPER for reporting defective materials. Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Mathematical proficiency in basic and complex computations relevant to the role. Attention to fine detail and strict adherence to instructions. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards. Comprehensive knowledge of inspection plans and industry certifications. Technical Proficiencies: Mechanical assembly and machine safety inspections. Setup of machinery for production runs. Skilled in blueprint reading.
