Safe Site Solutions, LLC | Detroit Metro, Michigan | 1099 Project Based | 52 Week Assignment

We are hiring a Site Safety Coordinator for a 52 week data center project in the Detroit metro area. This is a long runway on a single site, steady hours, and real overtime for someone who wants to plant roots on a major build instead of bouncing between short assignments.

What you will do

• Own day to day site safety on an active data center construction project
• Run daily walks, hazard assessments, and pre task planning with trade partners
• Lead toolbox talks, new hire orientations, and stretch and flex
• Enforce OSHA and client specific safety standards across all trades on site
• Investigate incidents and near misses, document findings, and drive corrective action
• Track and report safety metrics, inspections, and observations in Procore
• Partner with the general contractor, trade partners, and client EHS leadership
• Verify permits for hot work, energized work, confined space, and elevated work

What you need

• 1 to 3 years in a formally held Site Safety Coordinator or Safety Professional title on construction projects. Security work and safety adjacent duties do not count toward this requirement.
• OSHA 510(Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry)
• NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace)
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification
• Data center construction experience. This is what sets candidates apart on this project.
• Comfortable working 55 to 60 hour weeks on an active construction site
• Must pass a background check and drug screen. A passed background check is required for data center access, so we cannot confirm a start date until results clear.
• Reliable transportation to the Detroit metro job site

• Procore experience
• Tech savvy and comfortable working from a tablet or phone in the field. Digital documentation, photo logs, and reporting are a daily part of this role.
• OSHA 30, TWIC Card, Competent Scaffold Certified, MSR Safety Certified
• Prior experience on a mission critical or hyperscale build

Schedule and compensation

• Assignment length: 52 weeks
• Schedule: 55 to 60 hours per week
• Overtime: Paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40
• Classification: 1099, project based
• Anticipated start: Late September 2026
