Welder - Structural - 3254USA:TX:Katy | Shop & Field Service Support | Full-TimePosted a week agoDescriptionSummary: The Welder will do the following, mig, tig, and stick welding, pipe, steel, and stainless steel welding, pipe fitting, receive instructions, prints, and work orders for the job, plans details of working procedure, tools and material requirements, fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals, repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.Responsibilities of the Welder - Structural include, but are not limited to:Mig and flux-cored weldingCarbon steel, steel, and stainless-steel weldingReceives instructions, prints, and work orders for the jobPlans details of working procedure, tools and material requirementsFabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metalsRepairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipmentCleans and prepares surfaces to be weldedSets up, assembles, and tacks weld partsBuilds up worn or defective surfacesUses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shapeKeeps equipment and work area clean and orderlyQualifications of the Welder - Structural include, but are not limited to:5 years of welding experienceFamiliar with iron worker, plasma cutter, pipe threader, and grindersBackground check, physical, and drug test requiredAdditional Information:Physical Demand: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.Working Conditions: Shop environmentTraining/Certifications: Welding certificateShift Time/Overtime: Day Shift, Monday through Friday 6am to 5pm.Travel: N/AEducation: N/ADXP offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time regular employees, normally working a minimum of 30 hours per week, including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, paid holidays, life and disability insurance, and additional supplemental benefits.
