Job Title: Temporary File Clerk — Intellectual Property Department Job Duration: 2 Months on W2 Job Location: Novi, MI Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Description: We’re looking for a temporary, entry-level File Clerk to support our Intellectual Property department. In this role, you’ll help keep important physical and electronic records organized, accurate, and easy to find. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and willing to ask questions when something needs clarification. What You’ll Do: Organize, label, sort, and maintain IP department files so records are accurate and easy to retrieve. File incoming documents, correspondence, and records by following clear department instructions. Scan, digitize, and index paper records with care and accuracy. Help with file clean-up, document preparation, archiving, and secure storage projects as needed. Handle confidential legal, business, and intellectual property information responsibly. Pitch in with other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring: No prior IP experience is required. Clerical, administrative, filing, scanning, or records experience is helpful, but we’re happy to consider entry-level candidates. Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping information organized and accurate. Comfort using basic computer tools, scanners, and file tracking systems. Ability to stay focused, follow instructions, and work independently once trained.
