Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday through Thursday; No OT, Call, Weekends, or Holidays
• Duration: 16+ weeks
• Job Setting: Hospital - 9 Anesthesia Rooms (3 utilized at a time across 9 total sites); Charting via Epic
• Types of Cases: Urology, Orthopedic, General Surgery, Gynecology, ENT, Pediatrics, Vascular, Endoscopy
• MD Supervision: Yes - MDs supervising CRNAs at a 1:2 ratio; MDs also performing their own cases
• Responsibilities:
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed
• Credentialing: Estimated privileging timeframe 60 days; Accelerated/Temporary privileges available (30-60 days)

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Licensure: Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse; Maryland state license required (candidates needing to obtain state license will be considered)
• Education: Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
