Plow and Salt Truck Operator

Wolverine Lawn Services is seeking reliable and safety-minded Plow and Salt Truck Operators to join our team for the upcoming winter season. As a valued member of our seasonal operations, you will play a crucial role in keeping local properties safe and accessible during winter weather events. Operators are responsible for clearing snow and applying de-icing materials along assigned routes, primarily during overnight and early morning hours. Responsibilities

• Operate plow and salt trucks to clear snow and apply de-icing materials on assigned routes
• Maintain safe and accessible parking lots, driveways, and other designated areas
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections to ensure proper operation
• Follow assigned routes, site maps, and all safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and Zone Leaders throughout each shift
• Complete service logs and upload required site photos after each event
• Promptly report any equipment or maintenance concerns

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation to the assigned reporting location
• Previous experience operating plow or salt trucks is preferred
• Ability to respond promptly when called for snow or ice events, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe equipment operation
• Ability to follow routes and instructions while working independently

Compensation

$24–$28 per hour based on experience and assignment. This is a seasonal, on-call position with hours dependent on winter weather events. Extended shifts may be required during major storms.
