Licensed Clinician - DeKalb Regional Crisis Center Claratel Behavioral Health (formerly DeKalb Community Service Board) is a leading, community-based provider of behavioral health and developmental disabilities services in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. We serve more than 11,000 uninsured and underinsured individuals annually through a full continuum of mental health, substance use, and developmental disabilities programs. As a public, not-for-profit organization, Claratel BH operates over 20 locations across DeKalb County and employs a diverse workforce of more than 500 direct-care and support professionals. Our team of physicians, nurses, clinicians, and support staff is committed to helping individuals and families recover from behavioral health challenges and resume meaningful, productive lives. About the DeKalb Regional Crisis Center The Crisis Center provides urgent intervention and stabilization services for adults experiencing behavioral health emergencies. It offers three levels of care:

About the DeKalb Regional Crisis Center The Crisis Center provides urgent intervention and stabilization services for adults experiencing behavioral health emergencies. It offers three levels of care:
- Crisis Services Center (CSC): Accepts walk-ins, emergency room transfers, and involuntary referrals for evaluation
- Temporary Observation Unit (TOU): Provides 12-24 hours of monitoring for individuals needing further assessment
- Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU): Offers 5-7 days of intensive care including counseling, medication management, and discharge planning
- Conduct timely, comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
- Use multiple sources to inform client-centered treatment planning
- Apply standardized tools (e.g., Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale)
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and triage decision-making
- Seek supervision when appropriate
- Establish therapeutic relationships with clients and families
- Deliver individual, family, and group counseling using evidence-based practices
- Provide crisis intervention and document responses to treatment
- Modify interventions based on clinical feedback
- Maintain proficiency in mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders
- Engage clients using trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches
- Develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans
- Document goals, objectives, and interventions with clarity and specificity
- Serve as a resource for internal and external providers
- Assist in problem-solving for complex cases
- Ensure timely communication and documentation of referrals, discharges, and service authorizations
- Facilitate discharge planning, including safety and crisis plans
- Conduct follow-up calls and complete monitoring notes per policy
- Act as liaison for community resource engagement
- Maintain active licensure and certifications
- Participating in clinical supervision and continuing education
- Engage in organizational training initiatives
- Master's degree in behavioral health and/or social services field
- Full licensure is required, LPC or LCSW.
- At least two years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in computer systems and multitasking
- Independent licensure in Georgia (LCSW or LPC)
- Effective communication with colleagues, clients, families, and external partners
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and populations
- Crisis setting with potential exposure to high-acuity situations
- May require evening, weekend, holiday, or on-call availability
- Resilience under pressure
- Initiative, flexibility, and professionalism
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work within medical and recovery models
- Competence in treating co-occurring disorders
- Cultural humility and ability to serve diverse populations
