Exciting Opportunity for a Dynamic Respiratory Therapist!

Job Description:

- Shift: 12H Days, 3x12 hour days
- Patient Treatments: 30-40 per day, including all checks and treatments for Mental Health (MH)
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred)
- Patient Populations: Adults, Pediatrics, and Newborns
- Common conditions: STEMI, CVA, Covid, EKOS, arrest, IABP
- Coverage Areas:
- Inpatient and Outpatient settings
- Emergency Room (ER), Floors, Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery, Nursery, ICU, Sleep Lab, OR, PACU
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of experience
- Job Duties:
- Draw ABGs (Arterial Blood Gases)
- Occasional EKGs
- Intubation Requirements: Assist only, not required to intubate independently
- Leadership Contact: Supervisor - Ellen (M-F)
- Scheduling:
- Shift Hours: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
- Flexibility needed to fill scheduling gaps
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotate with permanent staff
- Call or Standby Call: Typically no call, with a 30-minute response time
- Floating Requirements: No floating to sister campuses
- Dress Code: Wine burgundy scrubs
- RT Equipment:
- Drager, A40, LTV, Avea in nursery, V-60, Vapotherms
- Hospitalist or Intensivist Availability: Yes, 24/7
- Orientation: 2 days of department-specific training
- Additional Questions:

- What coping mechanisms do you use outside of work?
