Barista Position at Grind on Gull

Cragun's on beautiful Gull Lake is looking for an innovative and enthusiastic Barista to join our growing team at our BRAND NEW coffee shop, Grind on Gull!!! As our Barista, you'll craft delicious coffee and specialty beverages while serving up light bites, all amidst the vibrant energy of a bustling resort atmosphere. Your role is crucial in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests!

• Welcome each guest with a warm smile and friendly service that sets the tone for their visit.
• Take and prepare orders with precision, ensuring a seamless experience.
• Share your knowledge of our menu, making outstanding recommendations that delight our guests.
• Keep a positive, professional, and guest-centric approach at all times.
• Masterfully prepare an array of coffee and espresso drinks that meet our top-notch standards.
• Ensure every sip is consistent in taste, presentation, and quality.
• Operate and maintain our espresso machines and café equipment with care and expertise.
• Whip up delightful light food items like breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and grab-and-go treats.
• Follow recipes to ensure the perfect portion sizes and presentation every time.
• Get involved in the prep work—heating, assembling, plating, and stocking to keep things running smoothly.
• Adhere to proper food handling, labeling, and storage procedures to keep our kitchen safe and efficient.
• Keep your workspace clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe guidelines preferred) to ensure we maintain our high standards.
• Complete your opening, closing, and side work duties with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with fellow team members and other resort departments for an amazing guest experience.
• Rise to the occasion during peak times (think weekends, events, and the summer season) and deliver outstanding service.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a barista or in food service? Great! If not, your passion for customer service is what matters most.
• Strong communication skills and a knack for multitasking are essential.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment? You'll fit right in!
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, helps us serve our guests when they need it most.
