Senior Software Engineer, Inference

Responsibilities

• Design, ship, and maintain customer-facing APIs that expose new model capabilities.
• Scale inference infrastructure to support more than 1 million API users.
• Productionize research prototypes into reliable, low-latency systems suitable for production traffic.
• Partner with researchers, applied engineers, customers, and product teams to guide product and research direction.
• Contribute to backend services, inference infrastructure, SDKs, and internal tooling.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience building and supporting production machine learning infrastructure and/or customer-facing APIs.
• Curiosity about AI and machine learning sufficient to make informed engineering decisions around models.
• Ability to operate effectively amid ambiguous and changing research and product timelines.
• Strong collaboration skills with researchers, applied engineers, customers, and other stakeholders.
