Job Description
Regional Safety Manager| Charlotte, NC and Fuquay Varina, NC
\n \nSafety Leadership That Makes a Difference
\n \nAt InServ, safety isn't something that happens from behind a desk.
\n \nIt's built in the field—through good planning, strong relationships, sound judgment, and the willingness to speak up when something isn't right.
\n \nWe're looking for a Regional Safety Coordinator who can lead safety across multiple projects and earn the trust of the people doing the work. You'll partner with craft employees, Project Managers, Field Safety Coordinators, clients, and InServ leadership to identify risk, solve problems, coach teams, and continuously improve safety performance across your region.
\n \nThis is a role for someone who is confident without being confrontational, detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture, and comfortable taking ownership without waiting to be told what to do.
\n \nWhen you see a risk, you act.
\nWhen you see an opportunity to improve, you pursue it.
\nAnd when safety requires a difficult conversation, you're willing to have it.
\n \nWHAT YOU'LL OWN

- Identify and address unsafe conditions and behaviors. \n
- Respectfully challenge decisions when safety is at risk. \n
- Lead by example and reinforce a culture of personal accountability for safety. \n

\n- \n
- Assist project teams with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Lift Plans, and job-specific safety planning. \n
- Review client safety requirements and help project teams meet or exceed those expectations. \n
- Participate in client meetings and represent InServ on safety matters. \n
- Identify potential risks early and work with project leadership to develop practical solutions. \n
Stay Connected to the Jobsites
\nYou can't lead what you don't see.
\n- \n
- Conduct a minimum of t hree HSI audits each week. \n
- Complete a minimum of five documented safety observations each week. \n
- Visit assigned projects regularly, ensuring jobs without on-site safety personnel are seen at least bi-weekly. \n
- Use audits, observations, and field engagement to identify trends and recurring risks. \n
- Follow corrective actions through completion. \n
- Complete daily reports and required client safety documentation. \n
Turn Incidents Into Lessons
\nWhen something goes wrong, we don't just document it—we learn from it.
\n- \n
- Lead or assist with incident investigations in partnership with the On-Site Field Safety Coordinator. \n
- Identify contributing factors and root causes. \n
- Develop practical corrective actions to prevent recurrence. \n
- Partner with the Safety Director to create and communicate Lessons Learned. \n
- Help project teams apply those lessons across the region. \n
Lead & Develop the Safety Team
\nYour impact extends beyond your own work.
\n- \n
- Supervise, coach, and develop Field Safety Coordinators within the region. \n
- Set clear expectations and hold safety personnel accountable for performance and follow-through. \n
- Manage regional safety staffing and provide coverage during absences. \n
- Verify staffing and timekeeping for safety personnel. \n
- Partner with the Regional Safety Manager to establish and track site-specific safety goals. \n
- Encourage ongoing technical and professional development. \n
Communicate & Collaborate
\nSafety leadership requires influence—not just authority.
\n- \n
- Maintain regular communication with project teams, clients, and InServ leadership. \n
- Attend bi-weekly InServ safety meetings and handover meetings with the Safety Director. \n
- Participate in Safety Committee initiatives. \n
- Assist with employee orientation and safety training as needed. \n
- Share safety trends, concerns, and opportunities with leadership. \n
