About the Role Tanger is seeking a Tanger Ambassador in Riverhead. This role offers the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively in a flexible, teams‑driven workplace designed to empower connection, innovation and impact across geographies. Responsibilities Maintain a polished and professional appearance that aligns with the brand image. Attend virtual or in‑person sessions, webinars, or meetings to enhance knowledge and skills. Engage and proactively assist guests across the center, driving consumer awareness and providing a consistent brand voice. Develop and maintain expert knowledge of center store locations, amenities, local and national programs, promotional offers, and event details. Prepare and hand out samples, coupons, and product information; distribute these marketing and promotional materials to shoppers. Collect and record customer feedback and information for internal use and client relations. Use mobile technology skills to educate shoppers on TangerClub benefits and encourage sign‑ups through the Mobile App. Represent Tanger at on‑site and off‑site marketing events, assisting with setup, organization, breakdown, and event recap via photos, video, audio. Foster partnerships with retailers, responding appropriately to retailer requests. Assist center management team and report issues or concerns in a timely, accurate manner. Provide general administrative and clerical support, including office upkeep, organization, mail handling, and package preparation. Assist with emergency notification systems, HVAC, roof logs, center collateral, signage, website, vendor check‑in, and social media channels. Assist in training new Brand Ambassadors as needed. Perform additional duties or participate in special projects as assigned. Competencies Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to give a warm, authentic welcome. Effective communication in one‑on‑one, small and large group settings. Ability to provide “best in class” service, anticipating needs and leaving customers with a positive experience. Strong listening skills to understand customer situations and respond appropriately. Polite demeanor, patience, and professionalism at all times. Up‑to‑date knowledge of Tanger marketing initiatives to drive revenue. Effective verbal and written communication; fluency in English required; Spanish a plus. Proficient in current/emerging technology and mobile applications. Ability to work outdoors and promote marketing initiatives that drive traffic. Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent work‑related experience. 1–2 years of customer‑service experience.
