Software Developer Core Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: $79,100 - 166,100 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a candidate with a masters degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or a bachelors degree plus roughly 2+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent hands-on experience.
• We value coursework, internships, research, or professional exposure in embedded systems, systems software, firmware, or hardware-adjacent software development.
• We require programming experience in C or C++, along with strong skills in Java and/or Python.
• We expect familiarity with Linux development environments, scripting, debugging, and version control workflows.
• We need someone who can quickly learn new codebases, troubleshoot technical problems, and collaborate across firmware, hardware, and cloud service teams.
• Preferred exposure includes Java, client libraries, or service SDK development.
• Preferred experience includes Python libraries, command-line tools, REST APIs, test automation, or service integration layers.
• Preferred familiarity includes embedded firmware design and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, or PLDM.
• Preferred understanding includes secure boot, firmware updates, attestation, key management, mTLS, authorization, or platform security concepts.
• Preferred exposure includes lab debugging tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, serial consoles, or I2C adapters.
• Preferred experience includes CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, build systems, or DevOps practices.

• We will implement, test, debug, and maintain firmware capabilities and companion software for Root of Trust hardware.
• We will develop Java and/or Python-based tooling and integration layers used for provisioning, firmware updates, validation, diagnostics, and automation.
• We will contribute to control-plane adjacent workflows, including REST API interactions, service integration, and client-side validation logic.
• We will review existing code and tests, identify defects, and improve reliability, maintainability, and security.
• We will collaborate with firmware developers, hardware engineers, security reviewers, service owners, manufacturing partners, and lab teams.
• We will use source control, CI/CD systems, lab equipment, and test automation to validate changes and clearly communicate findings.
• We will participate in product development from prototype and bring-up through implementation, validation, release, and operational support.
• We will build secure, scalable, and maintainable code with guidance from mentors and partner teams.
