Child Adolescent Psychiatrist

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Duke University School of Medicine invites applications for board-certified/board-eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to lead a new Pediatric Partial Hospital Program (PHP). Position Highlights: Lead the new Duke Pediatric Partial Hospital Program (PHP) in collaboration with: Division of Child and Family Mental Health and Community Psychiatry Duke Childrens Hospital Oversee a 16-bed PHP serving: Children ages 6-11 Adolescents ages 12+ Provide direct clinical care , program development and oversight Teach and mentor medical students, general psychiatry residents, and child/adolescent psychiatry fellows Hold a faculty appointment with rank commensurate with experience Preferred Experience: Background in pediatric hospital settings or PHP settings Leadership experience, ideally as a pediatric psychiatry consult-liaison physician Primary Activities: Deliver individual- and team-based clinical care at the Duke Pediatric PHP Conduct medical and interdisciplinary evaluations and interventions Lead a multidisciplinary team , including: Child and adolescent psychiatrists Pediatric psychologists Social workers Nurses Trainees Engage in and receive support for scholarly activities Visit Duke Psychiatry Duke is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing employment opportunity without regard to an individual's age, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, (including pregnancy and pregnancy related conditions), sexual orientation, or military status.
