Fastener Manufacturing Engineer: Rockford, IL

A stable and growing manufacturer in the Rockford area is seeking a hands-on engineering professional with experience in the fastener and cold heading industry. This is an opportunity to join a smaller, team-oriented environment where your contributions are highly visible and your technical expertise directly impacts operations, quality, and customer success. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges, collaborating across departments, and working closely with production in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support part development, tooling, and manufacturing process improvements within a cold heading environment
• Partner with production, quality, and sales teams to troubleshoot issues and improve efficiency
• Assist with quoting, feasibility reviews, and technical customer support
• Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Serve as a technical resource across multiple departments

Skills & Experience :

• Education : Higher-level engineering or technical education preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Experience : 2+ years’ experience within the fastener or cold heading industry, required
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of cold heading processes and secondary operations, required
• Software: MS Office Suite & ERP experience, required

Pay: $65,000 - $110,000/year, based on experience

Type: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
