Position Highlights:

0.8 FTE (32 hours per week)

EMR system is EPIC

$47.23-$58.45/hour DOE

Additional pay for your bilingual skills, paid on hours worked

$8,000 Hiring/Retention Bonus Structure:

At Hire: $2,400

At 180 days (6 months): $3,200

At 12 months: $2,400

Bonus will be pro-rated based on Full Time Equivalency (FTE)

Work Schedule: 4 days a week, working at multiple clinics in the area

What You'll Do:

Provide preventative periodontal care, including scaling, prophylaxis, root planing, sealants, and application of preventative agents.

Perform expanded functions as permitted by licensure, including placing and carving restorations and managing temporary crowns.

Take and manage dental X - rays; complete periodontal charting and maintain accurate patient records.

Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia as needed.

Educate and counsel patients on oral hygiene and preventative care; develop dental hygiene treatment plans in collaboration with providers.

Assist providers during exams and ensure operatories and instruments meet infection control standards.

Support clinic efficiency, quality initiatives, and compliance with TJC, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program

WA: Active Dental Hygiene License or Limited Dental Hygiene License

CPR Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred at a level 10

Knowledge of standard dental practices and current hygiene concepts

Ability to deliver care to patients of all ages and backgrounds

Strong time management and organizational skills

High level of manual dexterity and coordination

Basic computer proficiency (Electronic Dental Records, Outlook, Word, Excel)
