Empowered by Everyone to Transform Lives. **Overview**# **TC Harris School & Academy** is now seeking a **Student Support Specialist** to join their **Education Leadership team!**At TC Harris, this position will play a key role within IEP Compliance, External Stakeholder Partnerships, and student Admissions at TC Harris.# **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** Provide leadership, vision, direction, supervision and expertise in compliance with the IEP process.* Attend and Facilitate IEP meetings.* Assist in planning and development of IEP.* Work directly with teachers, support staff, and IEP team to design and execute effective student interventions and accommodations.* Collaborate with teachers, parents, LEA’s, and Student caseworkers to implement and ensure compliance with specialized education plans.* Ensure all legal and procedural requirements are met, including maintaining accurate IEP records. Maintains database of student IEP and evaluation dates.* Analyze student data and progress on IEP goals.* Supports teachers with IEP data tracking and goal progress monitoring.* Coordinate the admission review and dismissal/discharge of student with regards to educational documents for each student.* Participates in classroom placement decisions based on educational, social, and behavioral data presented.* Conducts student academic assessments upon admission and when needed.* Assist with the development, design and implementation of school systems to ensure routine monitoring of IEP documentation for compliance.* Collaborate with staff in developing and providing support in the implementation of the IEP process to ensure compliance with federal, state and T.C. Harris guidelines.# **Position Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s Degree **required,** Master's degree preferred* A valid Indiana Special Education license in Mild and/or Severe Intervention **required****.** A Director of Exceptional Needs License is preferred.* Minimum of 3 years of experience with writing compliant Individual Education Plans that utilize state standards and content connectors.* Ability to lead case conferences and must have knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, and Article 7.* Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including parents, teachers, clinicians, and administrators.* Experience with DOE graduation pathways and the requirements for graduation.# **Position Schedule + Benefits:*** **Schedule:** Following the Regular School year calendar + ESY availability* **Salary:** Starting at $60,000 Annually + additional credit for licensures and Special Education experience* **PTO:** 8 Personal Days + 10 Sick Days, in addition to year round compensation* **Tuition Assistance** program for further professional development* **Student Loan Paydown Program*** Health, Dental, Vision, short-term/long-term disability, life insurance* Generous PTO package* We are an Employee Owned Company!
