Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled, self-motivated Service Division Lead to execute residential and light commercial service jobs with little supervision. In this role, you will serve as the lead technical expert in the field—diagnosing and resolving complex electrical issues, delivering exceptional customer service, and recommending solutions to add value for our clients. If you have strong technical expertise, command of the NEC, and a team-player attitude, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Execution: Perform diagnostic troubleshooting, repairs, panel upgrades, rewires, and installations across residential and light commercial settings with minimal supervision.
• Customer Service & Communication: Deliver five-star customer experiences by explaining technical issues clearly, answering questions, and maintaining a professional demeanor on every job site.
• Service Value Addition: Identify opportunities during service calls to offer upgraded solutions, safety recommendations, and additional products that best serve the customer's needs.
• Code & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety protocols.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively alongside office staff and fellow field technicians to maintain smooth workflow and daily dispatch operations.
• Digital Workflows: Utilize field software to manage job details, record service notes, and process invoices accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensing: Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.
• Field Experience: 5+ years of hands-on electrical service and troubleshooting experience, with comfort handling primarily residential work along with light commercial service calls.
• Technical Mastery: Commanding knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), service entrances, panel upgrades, EV chargers, and system diagnostics.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to work independently, manage job site priorities, and resolve complex issues with little oversight.
• Computer & Software Savvy: Experience with ServiceTitan is preferred; ability to quickly learn and navigate field service management software is required.
• Customer-Facing Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, clean presentation, and comfort offering service recommendations and upselling on calls.
• Teamwork: Positive attitude and strong commitment to working as a collaborative team player.
• Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50–75 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching overhead.
• Comfort working at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts.
• Fine motor skills and dexterity required to work with small tools, delicate wiring, and hardware.
• Ability to work comfortably in tight or confined areas, including attics, basements, and crawlspaces.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Work is performed across residential and light commercial settings, including indoors, outdoors, and unconditioned spaces (e.g., unfinished attics, crawlspaces, garages).
• Weather Exposure: Frequent exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, seasonal extremes).
• Safety Hazards: Daily exposure to high-voltage electrical hazards, active job site conditions, power tools, and noise. Full compliance with OSHA standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols is required.
• Travel & Schedule: Local travel in a company vehicle. Regular day-shift hours with occasional willingness to handle emergency on-call requests or overtime as needed.
