Pharmacy Clerk

The Staff Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for assisting the pharmacist and technician in performing daily tasks to serve the patients. Those tasks include dispensing prescriptions, providing customer service to the patients in person and on the telephone, and any other duties assigned by the chief pharmacist. Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED or higher. 1 or more years of experience in customer service. Willing and able to work a 7:45‑4:30 pm and/or 8:45‑5:30 pm shift on a rotational basis as requested. General Qualifications 1 or more years of experience working in a medical/clinical setting. Knowledge of HIPAA and the Privacy Act required. Professional knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of a comprehensive pharmacy program. Skills in developing pharmacy-based data outcomes systems. Knowledge of the current legal/regulatory statutes that govern pharmacy services. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of EPIC and McKesson Enterprise electronic health records. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation. High level of personal integrity and ethics. High level of problem solving skills. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs. Good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills. Willingness and ability to learn new skills. Pass a criminal background check. Pass drug/alcohol testing.
