Registered Nurse – Acute Neuro Unit

Schedule

Varying shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with a 12-hour day shift schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled registered nurse to join our Acute Neuro Unit team. The successful candidate will have at least two years of recent experience in the specialty and be ready to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support for patients in an acute neuro setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient health status and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute care neuro specialty.
• Current AHA BLS & NIH Certification is required.
• AHA ACLS certification is preferred.

Holiday Expectations

The nurse must be willing to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
