Statewide Organizer

Position Overview

The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania ("LWVPA" or "the League") is a nonpartisan, grassroots nonprofit that has worked to empower voters and defend democracy across the Commonwealth for over 100 years. The League is seeking a Statewide Organizer to support voter education, election protection, and grassroots organizing during the 2026 election cycle.

This is a full-time, time-limited contract position focused on volunteer and member engagement, communications coordination, rapid response organizing, and strengthening Local League capacity. Working primarily with the Directors of Civic Engagement and Policy & Advocacy, the Organizer will develop toolkits and organizing materials, support virtual and in-person trainings, and help ensure consistent communication and alignment across Local Leagues and coalition partners, in both remote and field-based settings, including travel across Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Work with Local League leaders to strengthen organizing capacity through outreach and training, and support effective use of LWVPA tools and voter engagement systems
• Coordinate virtual and in-person trainings, meetings, and communications in collaboration with the LWVPA staff, including the Executive Director and Civic and Advocacy leadership
• Develop and distribute toolkits, talking points, messaging guidance, and other organizing materials for Local Leagues and volunteers
• Track and report on organizing activities, volunteer engagement, and program outcomes
• Recruit, onboard, activate, and re-engage volunteers for civic engagement and election protection activities; maintain systems for tracking and reporting on volunteer engagement across Local Leagues and statewide programs
• Support statewide voter education and election protection efforts through coordination, outreach, and rapid response organizing
• Create and deploy communications assets to support statewide campaigns and local League engagement
• Support on-the-ground organizing and mobilization, including periodic travel across Pennsylvania
• Coordinate partnerships with coalition and community organizations to expand training reach, resource distribution, and statewide organizing capacity
• Build relationships with and expand outreach to under-represented communities
• Other tasks as assigned

What you will need to be successful:

• Prior experience in community organizing, civic engagement, or related field required; voter engagement, election protection, or volunteer coordination experience preferred
• Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear, high-quality materials including toolkits, talking points, trainings, and organizing resources
• Proficiency with digital design and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Zoom, Slack, Action Network, or similar) strongly preferred
• Comfortable working remotely with strong communication and accountability practices
• Strong commitment to nonpartisan civic engagement and equitable access to participation
• Must reside in Pennsylvania, hold a valid PA driver's license, and be available for statewide travel
• Spanish language fluency or proficiency strongly preferred

Position Details

This is a full-time contract position from June 15 through December 31, 2026 , at $29/hour (approximately 40 hours per week). The position will include travel within Pennsylvania and occasional evening and weekend hours. This position reports to the Executive Director of the LWVPA. Position renewable, pending funding and performance.
