Small Business Development Center Manager-LT

Job Title

Under the direction of the Workforce Development Director, plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, reviews, and personally performs difficult and complex professional work related to the activities of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), including grant management, strategic planning, and program development to meet specific technical assistance and training needs of the small business community; provides highly responsible and complex professional assistance in areas assigned; and performs related work as required.

Education and Experience/ Licenses and Other Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework related to Business, Marketing, Public Administration, Social Work, or Social Science, and four (4) years professional analytical experience managing programs in small business, international trade, economic development, marketing with a minimum of one year supervising staff. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the education on a year for year basis to a maximum of two years.

Supplemental Information

A valid driver's license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC § 160020. This position may require pre-employment drug test, physical examination, and fingerprinting for a background investigation.
