Pay Rate

Local: $90 - $95/hr (Based on Experience)
Traveler: $95 - $100/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor (Director of Nursing) to provide leadership and operational oversight for a Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN License with NYSED verification.

• BLS Certification required.

• BSN required; MSN preferred.

• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role.

• Emergency Room and Director of Nursing (DON) experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical and operational activities of the Emergency Department.

• Monitor patient care quality and support performance improvement initiatives.

• Supervise nursing staff and collaborate with Nurse Managers on corrective action plans.

• Develop and maintain medication error tracking and documentation systems.

• Lead employee evaluations, coaching, and staff development.

• Ensure compliance with NYS regulations, hospital policies, and patient safety standards.

• Support quality improvement and Emergency Department operational excellence.
