Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Ludington that are seeking skilled CNC Swiss Lathe Operators. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes for production runs.
• Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine parameters to maintain part quality and efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and M-code for machining operations.
• Load and unload bar stock, ensuring proper material handling and machine feeding.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.).
• Experience with tool changes, offsets, and basic machine maintenance.
• Strong understanding of various metals and materials used in precision machining.
• Ability to troubleshoot common machining issues and make necessary adjustments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and repairs
