Surgical Technologist - Cardiac OR Schedule
3x12.0 shifts Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week Requirements
- NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
- Two (2) years of recent experience in a cardiac operating room
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Ability to scrub during procedures Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures in the cardiac operating room.
- Assist the surgical team from the scrub position during operations.
- Ensure proper care and handling of instruments and facilitate room turnover between cases.
- Maintain sterile technique and safety during surgical procedures.
- Perform surgical counts as per hospital policy and handle solutions and pharmacologic agents under the direction of a registered nurse.
