Respiratory Therapist Position

San Joaquin General Hospital is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join their busy acute care team. This facility serves patients across all age groups and provides comprehensive medical services, including emergency care, trauma, critical care, surgical services, high-risk obstetrics, pediatrics, and neonatal intensive care.

The selected candidate will work throughout the hospital in multiple departments, excluding Pediatrics and NICU. Candidates must be flexible and willing to assist wherever needed within the respiratory care department.

Position requires an active California Respiratory Therapist License. No special scheduling requests will be considered.

Client interview required (typically conducted via phone).

Compensation details:

• Travel RT Package
• Taxable Hourly Rate: $18.63/hr
• Weekly Meals Stipend: $518
• Weekly Housing Stipend: $924
• Estimated Weekly Gross: $2,112.68
• Local RT Package
• Hourly Rate: $44/hr
• Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,584

• Charting System: Cerner
• Timekeeping: MaxView Timeclock
• Orientation: Every other Thursday for Respiratory Therapists
• Night shift clinicians will complete initial training shifts on days
• Compliance deadline is one week prior to the start date
• Start dates cannot be pushed once submitted

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management, and rehabilitation under the direction of a doctor. The Respiratory Therapist treats conditions that affect the pulmonary system and help patients who are having trouble breathing from infants to the elderly in a variety of health care settings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registration for the state in which he/she practices
• One year of respiratory therapy clinical experience preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age Compliance & Ethics Expectations
