Regulatory Analyst / Finance Accounting

Senior IT Financial Analyst Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Insight Global is seeking a Senior IT Financial Analyst to support a leading engineering and professional services organization in Omaha. This individual will partner closely with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to improve visibility, governance, and efficiency around technology spending. The ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis experience with knowledge of IT Asset Management and can translate technology cost and usage data into actionable recommendations and measurable savings. 5+ years of IT Asset Management, Finance, or related financial analysis experience • Strong budgeting, forecasting, P&L, and financial analysis experience • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modeling • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience Cloud cost optimization, rightsizing, or software license optimization experience • Showback/chargeback experience • IT financial governance or audit readiness experience • IT Asset Management process development • As a Senior IT Financial Analyst, you will analyze IT budgets, technology spending, and usage to identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved financial visibility. Responsibilities include supporting budgeting and forecasting, identifying cloud and software licensing savings, driving rightsizing and decommissioning initiatives, and strengthening IT Asset Management and financial governance practices. You will also partner across IT, Finance, and business teams to support showback/chargeback models, apply FinOps and TBM principles, manage cross-functional initiatives, and communicate financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to connect technology usage with business and financial outcomes.
