GHR Healthcare - Travel is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. Job Details Specialty: ICU – Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 05/18/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week, 12‑hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays Shift: 12‑hour nights Employment Type: Travel Nurse / ICU RN Location: Peoria, IL 61605 Setting: Acute Care, High‑Acuity ICU (8‑bed) Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 Job Requirements / Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or documentation that Illinois license application has been initiated BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience; critical care / ICU RN experience required Experience with PEG tube care/feedings, CVC/PICC/Midline management, and tracheostomy patient care Proficiency managing sedated, ventilated patients and titrating vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips Ability to read telemetry strips; familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitors is a plus Negative drug screen required CCRN or other critical care certification preferred (not required) Key Responsibilities Provide primary critical care nursing for ICU patients, including respiratory failure, post‑surgical, wound care, IV antibiotics, post‑CVA, post‑trauma, and cardiac cases Manage and titrate ICU‑level drips (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levophed, Dopamine, Cardizem) Perform PEG tube care/feedings, manage CVC/PICC/Midline lines, and provide tracheostomy care Provide ventilator management and care for sedated/ventilated patients; collaborate closely with respiratory therapists Read and interpret telemetry and monitor critical care trends; utilize Phillips telemetry and bedside monitors Collaborate with house supervisors, respiratory therapists, and tele‑health physicians as needed Float to Medical‑Surgical units when required to support patient care Complete accurate charting and documentation using the EPIC electronic health record Participate in orientation and ongoing training per facility policy Benefits 401(k) with matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Equal Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity across our organization.
