HR Generalist

Location 775 North Main Street,Spring Valley, NY, 10977,United States Base Pay $30.00 - $35.00 / Hour Employee Type Full Time Required Degree 4 Year Degree Description The HR Generalist serves as a strategic partner and operational extension of the CHRO, supporting the execution of key HR initiatives while ensuring compliance, consistency, and operational excellence across the organization. Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of HR projects, processes, initiatives, software implementation, trainings, and surveys designed to strengthen HR operations, employee experience, and organizational consistency. Assist with creating, updating, and implementing HR policies, forms, and templates for all processes and procedures for the daily workflow of the HR department. Maintain HR documentation, compliance records, and audit readiness, as well as ensuring all HR systems are consistently up to date. Analyze data, HR metrics, and run reports to identify trends to provide recommendations to leadership. Collaborate with department heads and Director of HR on an ongoing basis to suggest, develop, and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives. Offer operational and leadership support as well as provide coverage for HR team members as needed. Research, draft, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures. Monitor changes in federal, state, and local employment laws and implement policy and process updates to maintain compliance. Ensure timely responses to all inquiries and requests, with a commitment to addressing and resolving issues within 24 hours. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies, procedures, and the industry standards. Participate in mandatory meetings and perform other related duties as deemed necessary by supervisor. Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives while meeting deadlines. Proven ability to independently lead projects from conception through implementation. The ability to remain calm in stressful situations and deal well with conflict. Required Education, Experience, and Licenses: 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
