Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates in a verified Level IV NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation
• Assist with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement , IV starts, and patient admissions
• Perform neonatal assessments and manage umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, OG/NG feedings, G-tubes, and oral and IV medications, including medication administration through PICC lines
• Operate unit equipment including conventional and high-frequency ventilators (Draeger, jet, and oscillator), nitric oxide, cool cap, MedFusion/Smart pumps, Spacelab monitors, and MAK/Accudose medication systems
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for critical and intermediate infants, and up to 3:1 for growing and feeding infants
• Float to PICU and Pediatrics as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota or a Compact RN license (willingness to obtain ND licensure accepted)
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association — required
• Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification — required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Ability and willingness to float to PICU and Pediatrics
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be subject to a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC (Epic OneChart) electronic health records — highly preferred
• Proficiency with neonatal-specific equipment including high-frequency ventilators, nitric oxide delivery, and cool cap therapy
• Familiarity with PICU and Pediatrics workflows to support float requirements
