Front Desk Medical Receptionist (Temporary Position)

Overview: As a Medical Receptionist at Azalea Gardens Nursing Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and compassionate front desk operations within a healthcare setting. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities:

• Greet residents and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Answer phone calls promptly and distribute to appropriate department.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date patient files, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Process incoming and outgoing medical records, faxes, and other correspondence.
• Collect and receipt payments
• Coordinate with nursing and medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communication of urgent matters.
• Manage inventory and ordering of office supplies as needed.
• Relay messages accurately and promptly to the appropriate staff members.
• Maintain professionalism and empathy when dealing with sensitive or emotional situations.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe reception area and clinic environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is preferred.
• Previous experience as a medical receptionist, administrative assistant, or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.

Note: This is a temporary position at Azalea Gardens Nursing Center with an estimated duration of approximately 6 weeks. Training will be provided, and opportunities for additional responsibilities or permanent employment may be available based on performance and business needs.
